Bill Wienecke Dear Co.; Some of you know Paul Martin - Officer of Yorktown Historical Society, Peekskill Lincoln Society, Pines Bridge Monument Committee, historic artist and West Point Chapter of Military Historians - WWII reenactor - participates at my SMS Living History day the past three years. Paul is incredibly involved with his family in keeping history alive and in historic preservation in the Hudson Valley. His son is doing an Eagle Scout Project to restore a WWI cannon - FYI - I would like to share it with you on the following link. I am making a small contribution to the project and think it is really nice to see our young people get involved in historic preservation and wanted to share it with you. My son, whose name is also Paul, just returned from his first deployment to Afghanistan. He and his brother Stefan are in the Army and are also Eagle Scouts (Rye Troop 2). My father served in the Army during WWII (Battles of the Bulge and Rhineland) and his uncle was in the first expeditionary force of U.S. Army forces sent to fight in France in WWI. I will be glad to make a donation to support Paul's Eagle project as one way to celebrate my son Paul's safe return. I am sending a check in the mail. Good luck!
